My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.
There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.
I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever.
Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us.

We ask that you grant us the respect and privacy we will need to navigate this new reality.
To honor our Team Mamba family, the Mamba Sports Foundation has set up the MambaOnThree Fund to help support the other families affected by this tragedy. To donate, please go to MambaOnThree.org.

To further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports, please visit MambaSportsFoundation.org.

Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers, and for loving Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and me. #Mamba #Mambacita #GirlsDad #DaddysGirls #Family ??

We are devastated for Vanessa and praying that God will give her all the strength in creation to get through this. Again, we cannot imagine having to endure this and we pray we never will. We are here for you and your family Vanessa, now, and always.

Dolly Parton is nothing short of an icon. For over forty years she has reigned as the Queen of Country Music. Now, Ms. Parton is lending her voice to a greater cause, telling Billboard Magazine, “of course Black Lives Matter!”

In her wide ranging interview Billboard, Dolly addressed a number of social issues but made it clear she stands with the Black Lives Matter movement. While she has not attended the protests, she voiced her support. “I understand people having to make themselves known and felt and seen,” she said. “And of course Black lives matter. Do we think our little White a**es are the only ones that matter? No!”

Dolly has however renamed a Civil War-themed dinner attraction at her theme parks in Missouri and Tennessee from “The Dixie Stampede” to “The Stampede” after she became aware of the meaning of “Dixie” and its Confederate ties. “There’s such a thing as innocent ignorance, and so many of us are guilty of that,” she told the magazine. “When they said ‘Dixie’ was an offensive word, I thought, ‘Well, I don’t want to offend anybody. This is a business. We’ll just call it The Stampede.’ As soon as you realize that [something] is a problem, you should fix it. Don’t be a dumba**. That’s where my heart is. I would never dream of hurting anybody on purpose.”
We have to admit we are really proud of Dolly and her being so open with her stance. Also we have to admit we are Dolly Parton fans over here, “Nine To Five” and “Jolene” are constantly in rotation.
We really wish more stars of various backgrounds and “musical genres” would come forward and be on the right side of history. Thank you Dolly, your support is welcomed and needed. She has definitely earned her a plate at the cookout!

Lizzo definitely has the “Juice” to do and say what she wants, but this time her comments–sexual ones–about popular boy bands, BTS and One Direction. Fans of the respective groups have made her the latest target of “cancel culture,” with the hashtag #LizzoIsOverParty.

Fans of BTS and One Direction were not happy with the singer after she made the following comments:

The drama started when One Direction fans thought Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, made a slight against Harry Styles.

In an old TikTok video, Lizzo suggestively sucks a chocolate popsicle while watching perform Styles onstage—the humorous video is laden with innuendo and is a nod to the playful and well-documented relationship between Styles and Lizzo.

However, some fans have deemed the joke “offensive,” hence the calls to “cancel” Lizzo making their way around Twitter, some veering into offensive territory themselves.

One angry tweet reads: “This isn’t for Lizzo’s body, it’s for her actions. She’s sexualizing every single man and that’s so f*****’ disgusting. Why can’t you understand the reason of this hashtag. If you support her you’re sick. PERIODT #LizzoIsOverParty.”

In response to the #LizzoIsOverParty hashtag doing the rounds, fans of the singer have been flooding the tag with positive messages praising her.

We have to say we are surprised that people are reacting this way to her comments. Many men–namely the current President of The United States–have made far more derogatory statements toward women without any real consequence. All of the members of One Direction and BTS are adults and furthermore, we are sure their own fans have been more sexual and graphic in correspondence to them than Lizzo ever was.

Cancel culture definitely is not losing any steam. We are just hoping that will not hurt her in the long run. Needless to stay we stand with Lizzo.

Terry Crews, in response to the controversy, has created his own–still offensive–acronym for coon in return, causing a new backlash from Black Twitter and proponents of Black Lives Matter.

The tweet shown, below, has coon listed as “C.O.O.N.” or “Conquer Our Own Negativity.”

Black Twitter’s greatest comedians came for him almost immediately:

We have to say we are really disappointed with Terry. “Coon” is highly offensive word used as a racial slur against Black people. One of his fans, that he retweeted, said it best:

Terry Crews please do better or just be quiet. We would suggest he hire an excellent BLACK publicist. We can recommend a few (glances at nails).
