Our favorite “Pitches” are back in Pitch Perfect 3!

The Bellas are scattered and have learned that real life post-college and winning the World Championship is not all it is cracked up to be. Becca (Anna Kendrick) in particular is frustrated with her job as a producer, wanting to make real music and be a real artist. The Bellas began to feel hopeful when they reunite overseas USO, but soon find they may be over their heads as the other bands seem to be just as good–if not better–than they are at their signature cover songs! The grand prize for the winner of the tour is none other than a recording contract. It willl take everything The Bellas have and more to pull this show off!

pitch perfect 3

If you have seen the previous Pitch Perfect movies then you can assume the actors are hilarious, the jokes are quirky and corny, and the story line pretty much the same. Also if you have seen the other movies in the musical comedic trilogy,  then you are definitely a fan of the creative musical play on your favorite songs, watching “Fat Amy fight” and that good feeling when the “happy ending” includes fairness and love. Pitch Perfect 3 was everything you’d expect with a few things that caught me by surprise. DJ Khalid? Trinidad James? Why? I mean Khalid was Khalid so you’d expect nothing less but Trinidad James in a Pitch Perfect movie is just so unexpected! “Popped a molly I’m sweatin’, whoo” I nearly lost it when he jumped into the battle with The Bellas.  Either way there were several familiar faces and a very talented cast. We are really going to miss The Bellas, their song battle, and hijinks. Hopefully Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) or someone else will get a spin off film! #FingersCrossed!

Overall if you love musical comedies you will definitely enjoy Pitch Perfect 3. In theaters Friday, December 22, 2017.

Adapted from two-time Pulitzer Prize winner August Wilson’s play, MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM celebrates the transformative power of the blues and the artists who refuse to let society’s prejudices dictate their worth. Directed by George C. Wolfe and adapted for the screen by Ruben Santiago-Hudson, the film is produced by Fences Oscar® nominees Denzel Washington and Todd Black. Colman Domingo, Glynn Turman, Michael Potts, Taylour Paige and Dusan Brown co-star alongside Grammy® winner Branford Marsalis’ score.

We are really excited to see this biopic on Ma Rainey. She is such a legendary woman! Besides that the cast is stellar. Viola Davis is perhaps the greatest actress of our times and the late and great Chadwick Boseman graces us with his presence in one of his last roles.

Word is that there are two very different actors are being considered to play the leader of the Fantastic Four, Reed Richards. One is John Krasinski, the other is John David Washington.

John David Washington is the star of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and one of the fastest rising stars in Hollywood. He’s also the son of Denzel Washington. According to this rumor the 35-year-old is now one of the top contenders for the role of Reed.

John Krasinski

We’ve heard rumors for awhile now that former Office star turned horror movie (A Quiet Place) director John Krasinski could be up for the part of Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in Marvel’s new version of the Fantastic Four. Until now those have just been wild rumors, but we’ve just gotten something a little more concrete.

Roger Wardell tweeted this oddly overlooked message a few days ago…

If you don’t know who Wardell is, he’s a Marvel Insider with a proven track record of getting scoops like these right. So it’s pretty likely that if he says Krasinski is up for a part at Marvel, then he’s up for the part. That said, he doesn’t specify WHICH part Krasinski is up for. But where there’s smoke there’s fire. We’ve been hearing Krasinski for Mr. Fantastic for months now and it’s really hard to imagine Marvel wanting to cast him as the lead in any other superhero movie. He’s uniquely qualified to be Reed Richards in Marvel’s Fantastic Four movie.

We are honestly okay with either actor acquiring the role. We can, however, see John David Washington becoming it more in light of Jonathan Majors being cast as Kang The Conqueror in the Ant-Man 3 movie. Kang, in the comics, is actually a distance ancestor of Reed Richards.

What do you guys think of this casting news for the rumored Fantastic Four movie? Sound off in the comments’ section below!
