YES! “Titans” Renewed Early for Fourth Season!

Most television series typically wait for their third season to air and then based on its ratings renew it for a fourth season. However, that does not seem to be the case for “Titans.”

The series was initially a DC Universe original series, but beginning its third season will be exclusively shown on HBO Max alongside other DC Comics series like “Harley Quinn,” “Young Justice,” and “Doom Patrol.” The new season is set show appearances from popular superheroes and one of Batman’s scariest foes.

In season 3, Curran Walters’ Jason Todd will finally take on the mantle of DC’s infamous anti-hero Red Hood! Titans Season 3 will also introduce Barbara Gordon and famous rogue gallery Batman villain Scarecrow!

When we meet Barbara she’ll be serving as Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, just like her father Jim Gordon, and she’ll be wary of the Titans’ presence as they decide to make a big move from San Francisco to Gotham City to face “a whole new set of challenges”. Scarecrow will be introduced as an inmate at Arkham Asylum but he’ll also have a second career as a profiler for the GCPD. As of now, there is no casting news on either character.

Despite the character’s death, we first revealed Donna Troy will also be returning to the series. This is good news for fans of the superheroine, who were upset by the seemingly unnecessary death.

We are here for these new plot developments in Season 3 of “Titans!” We see they are really beginning to focus on The Batman Family more with the addition of Barbara Gordon aka “Batgirl” and The Red Hood. Adding Scarecrow in the mix was definitely unexpected. His use of fear toxins and gases is sure to haunt the team.

We are not sure when Season 4 will add, but it will most likely be in 2022 if “Titans” keeps with its annual scheduling for its seasons. Perhaps we will go ahead and subscribe to HBO Max soon…

Melissa posted a heartwarming salute to the show and her feelings on getting to portray such an iconic character:

To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless. She’s had that impact on me, too. She’s taught me strength I didn’t know I had, to find hope in the darkest of places, and that we are stronger when we’re united. What she stands for pushes all of us to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and I’m forever grateful. I’m so excited that we get to plan our conclusion to this amazing journey, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have in store. I promise we’re going to make it one helluva final season. ♥️ el mayarah 💪 @supergirlcw

We really hate to see Supergirl go but we are not surprised. Superman & Lois is set to begin airing next year and we guess having two Kryptonians on the network was just too much.

We would like to thank The CW and the cast of Supergirl for being so amazing and bringing so many diverse characters to life of various backgrounds, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. “The Girl of Steel” will be missed.

Tatiana Masleny cast as “She-Hulk” in Disney+ series

The project is just one of a handful of anticipated series Marvel Studios is working on for Disney+, with The Falcon and Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki all in production and set to bow in the next year.

Maslany also becomes the latest female talent to lead a Marvel project following in the footsteps of Brie Larson in Captain Marvel and Scarlett Johansson in the upcoming Black Widow movie. Marvel head Kevin Feige has made it his mission to diversify the MCU and this latest addition to the universe does just that.

Best known for her Emmy-winning role in Orphan Black, Maslany is coming off her highly-lauded role in HBO’s Perry Mason opposite Matthew Rhys. On the film side she has been seen in the Lionsgate pic Stronger and Destroyer. She appeared on Broadway opposite Bryan Cranston and Tony Goldwyn in 2018’s Network.

She-Hulk is the first cousin of Bruce Banner, better known as The Incredible Hulk. In the comics, her origins lie in an accident where she was horribly injured and an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin caused her to transform into an eight foot tall, statuesque female version of the Hulk endowed with all of his amazing abilities. She has also been a long running member of both the Fantastic Four and The Avengers.

However, unlike The Hulk she retains her intelligence and her strength does not increase dramatically with rage. She also exhibits the ability to “break the fourth wall,” or talk directly to the audience because she is aware she is a comic book character.

We think Tatiana will be a great Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk and are really glad more superheroes are coming to the MCU. We are not sure what major villain will mark Phase 4 for Marvel, but now there are two Hulks for them to deal with! “SHE-HULK SMASH!”
