We TV definitely knew it had a hit when it put Toni Braxton, her mother, Evelyn, and her younger sisters, Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar on reality television. Since then Braxton Family Values (BFV) has been the network’s highest rated series. However, ratings are not keeping it from going on hiatus as the The Braxtons have refused film any further until they are paid more money!

Sources connected to the show tell us the entire cast — TamarToniTowandaTraciTrinaand mom Evelyn — was scheduled to shoot in Atlanta last week, but only Traci showed up … so WE tv sent the crew home and pulled the plug on taping.

Our sources say the Braxton women are refusing to return to work until the network and Magical Elves production company renegotiate their contracts for the second half of season 6.

The major bones of contention, we’re told — the cast feels their wardrobe and travel stipends are so low it’s laughable. They also want their salaries increased to an “appropriate” level.

WE tv declined to comment, but sources close to the situation tell us the Braxtons are under contract through season 9. We also reached out to Magical Elves … no word back so far.

This does not look good and The Braxtons are still under contract. Technically, We TV can sue them for breach of contract. We really wonder how much they are being paid to do the series altogether. If they describe their amenities and salaries as laughable and inappropriate then perhaps they should have an impromptu renegotiation of their contracts. We just hope the amount of their demand is reasonable, after all they are not The Kardashians!

What do you guys think? Do Toni, her mother, and sisters have a leg to stand on? Sound off in the comments’ section below!

“Ruff Ryders Chronicles” is a five-part documentary series that delves into the legendary label, chronicling its gritty street origins to its meteoric rise, shattering fall and ultimate rebirth.

Growing up in poverty, Waah and Dee hustled to survive on the rough streets of the South Bronx. Along with their sister Chivon, they applied the lessons they learned on the block to their fledgling talent management company. Together, they nurtured artists like DMX, Eve, and The Lox, and even started their own label, achieving dizzying heights of success. The Deans also launched a wildly lucrative lifestyle brand and opened Ruff Ryder Motorcycle chapters across the country, which are still popular today. Improbably, this astute family, with an ear for gritty urban music, built a 200-million dollar empire.

Thirty years after the founding of the epoch-making label, “Ruff Ryders Chronicles” tells the fascinating behind-the-scenes story of what it took to build this company and the extraordinary impact it had on hip hop.

Check out clips from the series below:

Ruff Ryders Chronicles” is produced by Entertainment One (eOne) and Creature Films. Mark Ford and Kevin Lopez serve as executive producers for Creature Films. Erica Hanson serves as executive producer.

“P-Valley has quickly become this summer’s newest must-see television series as critics and audiences alike are taken up by the authentic and compelling characters that make The Pynk come alive,” said Christina Davis, president of original programming. “Katori has delivered a provocative drama that looks beyond the glitz and into the hearts and minds of these fully realized and compelling characters, exploring them through a female gaze that invites the audience to take a walk in their stilettos. We know Katori has a lot of incredible stories to tell and a lot in store for these women in a second season.”

We are glad “P-Valley” is being received so well! However, we are not surprised. The series is well written, acted, and has all the raunchy fun of Southern living from deep friend chicken wings and nudity to quips on “red drank!” Congratulations to Katori Hall and the cast, it is only up from here!

In the club, Clifford gives Autumn a job and has his star stripper, Mercedes (Brandee Evans), show her the ropes; hoping she will eventually replace Mercedes after she retires. Mercedes, however, has reservations about Autumn and is determined to focus on what brings her joy in life, while dealing with the shame and damnation her mother places on her for stripping. Meanwhile, a DL rapper Lil Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson), tries to hustle Mercedes and Uncle Clifford into playing his new song while covering for his entourage’s antics.

Elsewhere, a mysterious, seemingly goodhearted man, Andre (Parker Sawyers), secretly photographs the dancers and ongoing of P-Valley!

Starz granted us access to a screener of the first episode of the series and we are now hooked. The show is very much so a new “The Players Club” with a modern update, and LGBT friendliness. We cannot wait to see more of the series and what is in store for all of the characters.

We do know for sure our friend to the site, Toni Bryce, is set to appear in the fifth episode of the series! Let’s hope this sets her on track to become a series’ regular in Season 2–which we are sure Starz will greenlight!

You can catch the series premiere of “P-Valley,” tomorrow night, 9 PM EST only on Starz!
