McCraney’s show will be a new coming of age drama centered around a 14 year old prodigy. The 14 year old is faced with a very important decision. The series takes place in South Florida and is inspired by events that have taken place in McCarney’s own life. Oprah shared her thoughts of the new series,

“When Tarell shared his powerful story with us there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I knew this was something special that our viewers will without a doubt connect to and feel compelled to explore with us. I am honored to be working with Tarell and the rest of the producers on this project.”

McCraney also shared his thoughts on his upcoming project.

“I wanted to explore the pivotal steps towards adulthood and identity, the ones we take when we think or feel we have no other choice.”

“Titans,” a television series based on the DC Comics superhero team consisting of former sidekicks turned adult superheroes and the teenage superheroes they mentor,  of the same name, has been renewed early for a fourth season before its third season airs in 2021.

The series was initially a DC Universe original series, but beginning its third season will be exclusively shown on HBO Max alongside other DC Comics series like “Harley Quinn,” “Young Justice,” and “Doom Patrol.” The new season is set show appearances from popular superheroes and one of Batman’s scariest foes.

In season 3, Curran Walters’ Jason Todd will finally take on the mantle of DC’s infamous anti-hero Red Hood! Titans Season 3 will also introduce Barbara Gordon and famous rogue gallery Batman villain Scarecrow!

When we meet Barbara she’ll be serving as Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, just like her father Jim Gordon, and she’ll be wary of the Titans’ presence as they decide to make a big move from San Francisco to Gotham City to face “a whole new set of challenges”. Scarecrow will be introduced as an inmate at Arkham Asylum but he’ll also have a second career as a profiler for the GCPD. As of now, there is no casting news on either character.

Despite the character’s death, we first revealed Donna Troy will also be returning to the series. This is good news for fans of the superheroine, who were upset by the seemingly unnecessary death.

We are here for these new plot developments in Season 3 of “Titans!” We see they are really beginning to focus on The Batman Family more with the addition of Barbara Gordon aka “Batgirl” and The Red Hood. Adding Scarecrow in the mix was definitely unexpected. His use of fear toxins and gases is sure to haunt the team.

We are not sure when Season 4 will add, but it will most likely be in 2022 if “Titans” keeps with its annual scheduling for its seasons. Perhaps we will go ahead and subscribe to HBO Max soon…

Melissa posted a heartwarming salute to the show and her feelings on getting to portray such an iconic character:

To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless. She’s had that impact on me, too. She’s taught me strength I didn’t know I had, to find hope in the darkest of places, and that we are stronger when we’re united. What she stands for pushes all of us to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and I’m forever grateful. I’m so excited that we get to plan our conclusion to this amazing journey, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have in store. I promise we’re going to make it one helluva final season. ♥️ el mayarah 💪 @supergirlcw

We really hate to see Supergirl go but we are not surprised. Superman & Lois is set to begin airing next year and we guess having two Kryptonians on the network was just too much.

We would like to thank The CW and the cast of Supergirl for being so amazing and bringing so many diverse characters to life of various backgrounds, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. “The Girl of Steel” will be missed.
