If Loving You Is Wrong begins with Esperanza, Natalie, and Kelly sneaking in to check on Alex. She asks them about Brad’s whereabouts and if he saw the baby. Natalie tries to tell her the truth but Kelly stops her. They ask her has she seen the baby and tell her how beautiful her newborn son is. Natalie refuses to allow them to sugarcoat things for Alex, but they admonish her for being so blunt and remind her that Alex has to stay calm for her own health. She tells them that she does not want to see her baby and that she hates him. Kelly tells her not to say things like that about her baby and chalks it up to postpardum depression and hormonal changes. Natalie, however, encourages her to speak her truth. She asks them how is she going to face her son everyday knowing he is the cause of her marital issues and life problems. She tells them she is going to put him up for adoption, much to the ladies’ chagrin. Natalie assumes she wants to give up her son because he is Black, but she tells them it is so a good family will love him the way he deserves. The doctor interrupts their conversation and makes them leave as they are causing her blood pressure to spike.
Hip hop mogul Russell Simmons has snagged Empire star Gabourey Sidibe for a collaboration with Fusion on a juvenile justice documentary, “Prison Kids: A Crime Against America’s Children” debuting Sunday, October 4. October is National Youth Justice Awareness Month (YJAM) and Fusion is taking a deeper look into America’s juvenile system, which incarcerates over 50,000 children a day. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the documentary hopes to shed light on how the justice system will imprison children between 6-17 years of age, and how incarcerating underage children makes a difference in society and the behavior of the juvenile.
Simmons is no stranger to the discussion of underage children and jail. In 2004, he previously produced a special titled, “Simmons Presents: Hip Hop Justice for Court T.V.” that will be the introduction to the new documentary. Fusion also joined forces with All Def Digital to serve as a content partner.
Music should always tell a story. That’s the philosophy singer Avant lives by when creating his content. Never one to conform to what everyone else around him was doing, Avant has been able to forge his own path and create a lane in which he dominates. With his upcoming eighth studio album titled “The VIII” (The Eight), Kontrol Magazine snagged Avant for an in depth interview about his music and longevity in an ever-changing industry.
Avant’s career in the entertainment industry pans well over ten years and in an industry that changes quicker than you can bat an eyelash, that’s a major accomplishment. Avant attributes his longevity to being able to create and produce real and true music. “I always said if I didn’t feel it, if I didn’t feel the truth in my stuff and it wasn’t authentic, then it wasn’t for me, ya know. I’ve always been blessed to have radio records that attracted people and got crazy airplay but on the flip side and with my full albums, I’ve always been able to give fans that real.”
Gotham begins with a little torture as Theo Galvan has kidnapped the Mayor and held him hostage. He has a box around his head and threatens to drop a spider in it if he does not call and lie to his secretary and tell her that he is leaving town with his lover. He declares Gotham is about to be “cleansed.” The Mayor complies and news spreads quickly to headlines. At the Gotham Gazette, the editor declares he wants a better headline and demands his writers bring him new stories. As he rants people are seemingly falling from the sky behind him. We see the escaped Arkham inmates led by Jerome are tossing hostages off the building, lining their bodies up to spell out “M-A-N-I-A-X-!” At the precinct Jim and Sarah brief the cops on the inmates and prepare to go after them. Theo commends the inmates on a job well done and then tries to teach them about showmanship. All of them, save Jerome, fails. Theo applauds his laughter, while his sister and Barbara whip the Mayor. He stops them, but they tell him they are bored and want to participate in the “fun.” He questions her about Jim Gordon.

The show begins showing how Rebecca was murdered–suffocated by a plastic bag! Annalise teaches her latest lesson on how to defend a spouse who has killed his lover from being prosecuted for murder. She calls on Wes in class after a series of question and answer lessons with other students. He, however, passes and demands she moves on when she singles him out and reprimands him for being late and unprepared for class. Annalise has Frank dispose of Rebecca’s body and not to tell her how or where he does so. Frank beleives Wes is the murderer. Later, at the house Michaela and Laurel clash over the latter using her engagement ring to keep her in line. Frank breaks them up, but voices his concerns over Wes’s misbehavior to Annalise. She still does not believe he murdered Rebecca. On television she watches the Lensherr case where two adopted children are accused of murdering their wealthy parents. She goes to see them and tries to become their lawyer. Their attorney, however, tells them about her own past with murder. She leaves her card with them and makes a plan with the interns to make their lawyer mess up. The interns are all hesitant, and for it Annalise berates them. However, her rant is interrupted by the arrival a mysterious woman.
The woman is Eve Rothlow, a lawyer for Death Row inmates who she tries to get him to take on Nate’s case in Sam’s murder. Annalise pleads with her, telling her that Nate is innocent. Eve reluctantly agrees to help. Oliver helps Connor with his work, but is surprised by him standing there naked trying to get him to have sex with him. He rebuffs his advances, fearing he would infect him HIV. Connor is now on Prep, but it will not kick in for at least thirteen more days. Elsewhere, Wes researches the Lensherrs while Annalise and Frank discuss further whether he is guilty or not. She tells him she will not be angry if Frank killed Rebecca, but would be if he lied on Wes. He tells her he will clone the computers to see if any evidence pops up, but she declares she has a surefire way to see if he is the culprit.
