The bride looked stunning in a custom off-white, fitted, silk Amsale gown carrying white peonies and cream garden roses as she and the assistant English professor tied the knot in front of 100 of their close friends and family members. Her bridesmaids wore tea length, raspberry-colored Amsale dresses.
The daytime wedding was an “upscale Caribbean vibe,” as Ali described to People. Instead of putting cards in a gift box, the couple chose to do a wishing tree.
“We saw it up in northern California. It’ll have ribbons on it and people can put wishes on it. We did that because it’s a tree that we can bring with us,” Ali said.
The couple first met on the dating website eHarmony in 2014. Ali and her now husband wrote letters for months before they even chatted on Skype.
The pair announced in March that they were expecting their first child together. With the wedding out the way, the newlyweds can prepare for their new chapter in life.
“I just want to see my baby,” she said. “I can’t wait to smell the baby! That’s what I think about.”
Congrats on your nuptials Ali! Now we can’t wait for the baby’s arrival!
