5 Gym Bag Essentials to Keep You Smelling & Looking Fresh!

What’s up guys! I have some cool everyday products for those of you gym rats who’ve been living in the locker room this hot summer season. This summer has definitely been a hot one thus far, and if you’re like me a trip to the beach is definitely an essential one this vacation break. Gyms are packed and so are the locker rooms in order to get that beach bod ready, and I’ve come across a great article written by Rodney Cutler of Esquire Magazine, on some basic gym bag or locker room essentials that every guy should check out. Scroll down below for the top 5 essential products that every gym rat should have.

FOR YOUR ARMPITS

One wipe per. Maybe two. Lab Series’ antiperspirant deodorant ($17; labseries.com) is heavier-duty-than-normal clear stuff, with no scent—not from the deodorant, not from you.

FOR YOUR EVERYWHERE

With its multiple vitamins, menthol, zinc, and caffeine, Kiehl’s Body Fuel wash ($20, kiehls.com) is built to reanimate you even after you work yourself into a puddle of sweat. That includes your hair.

FOR YOUR WET HAIR

You just showered—or, better, didn’t, since that surprise endorphin rush inspired an extra set of sit-ups and now you’ve gotta sprint out the door. Run Dove Men+Care’s styling paste ($6; amazon.com) through your hair. It gives you just enough control without adding any more crunch.

FOR YOUR PAINS

Use Jack Black’s Dragon Ice balm ($23; getjackblack.com) before or after. The menthol (yes, more menthol) cools, the aloe relieves, and the rest helps ward off inflammation. Less pain, maybe even more gain.

FOR YOUR SAKE

Most fragrances are liquid, encased in bottles that can leak in your bag or shatter on a tile floor. They also spray—often cropdusting that county-champion powerlifter’s sacred space. But Le Labo’s solid fragrances ($85; lelabofragrances.com), available in 15 scents, do neither. They’re made of wax and come packaged in arefillable metal cannister. Try Thé Noir 29, which smells like black-tea leaves, cedar, fig—nothing like a gym.
