[AUDIO]: Roc Nation (@RocNation) Artist, ‘Belly,’ (@reBELLYus) Makes a Name for Himself in the Industry!

You may have heard of this artist through his affiliation with XO artist The Weeknd, or you may have heard of him from when he signed to none other than Roc Nation in 2015. Either way, if you don’t know who he is, you probably will soon!

Although Belly is originally from St. Palestine he grew up in Canada, where he has spent a lot of his time doing music – which can explain his friendship with Canada native, Abel a.k.a The Weeknd. Belly was signed to Roc Nation last year.

It’s exciting stuff. I want to say it was just a complete focus on my craft and my music and I put together a project that I felt like was representative of me as an artist. And I think I just got the right ears with it to the point where Jay Z was interested and heard it and invited me over,” he told Billboard around the time of the signing.

Belly has already collaborated with names you have all heard before including, Lil Wayne, Travi$ Scott, Juicy J, French Montana, Juelz Santana and more. He is also a very talented songwriter, and he’s got The Weeknd’s top hit ‘The Hills’ under his belt to prove it.

We  had the pleasure of attending Belly’s private listening party at Means Street Studio in Atlanta, where Belly, along with some of the city’s top influencers in the music industry were in attendance. We all got to hear the rapper’s latest project ‘Another Day in Paradise’. I can see why Hov wanted Belly on the team. His raps are catchy, the beats are nice and you really can’t help but to sing along to the choruses (even when you don’t know all of the words).
