It is always an awesome thing to see celebrities lending their time to charity and giving back to worthy causes. Singer/actress, Demetria McKinney and radio/television, Claudia Jordan lent their presence and influence to bring attention to ovarian cancer while also giving their own advice and expertise on brand building. The event was coordinated by celebrity publicist, founder of the Luxe PR Group, and and two time survivor of ovarian cancer, Anje Collins. The event took place at The event was held at the unique Lofty Spaces on Montgomery Street and raised over $2K, with a portion of the profits being donated to The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
During the event Anje candidly and transparently told the audience about her passion for bringing awareness to the disease, as well as educating the masses. The Brunch Series included an impressive panel of female African-American entrepreneurs, who alongside Claudia and Demetria “provided insight on business branding, and honest personal stories on leveraging and navigating the business world as entrepreneurs. An open dialogue was encouraged amongst panelist and attendees while celebrating the spirit of female entrepreneurship. Guest in attendance also received complimentary gift bags by Curls and Cynthia Bailey Eye Wear. The event also included a shopping experience from African American female entrepreneurs.”

Needless to say this event was amazing and we definitely need more like it! We can eradicate cancer and all other illnesses from the face of the planet if we all dare to do our part and lend time, energy, and funds to truly worthy causes! Check out more pictures below!
