Demi Lovato is Now Co-Owner of a Rehab Facility

Twenty-four year old singer, songwriter and actress Demi Lovato is now reportedly the co-owner of a Los Angeles rehab clinic.

The ‘Confident’ songstress bought into the CAST Center in Los Angeles – the same rehab facility where she previously sought help for her depression, bulimia and substance abuse – and admits it feels “good” to have the means to help others in her position. She said of the business deal: “I don’t know what it says, it just feels good.”

Her manager, Phil McIntyre, added:

“How many 24-year-olds own their own treatment center? But then to leverage her position in pop music to do so much good is just incredible.”

Recollecting on her time at the CAST center, Demi admits she was a nightmare to deal with. CAST CEO Mike Bayer (who has been accompanying Demi on her summer tour) – recalled how she was “very closed off” when they first met, sleeping a lot and expressing herself with one word answers, Demi admitted in an upcoming interview on ‘Sunday Morning’:

“Yeah, I was a nightmare. I would say … the word that I want to say, but it’s so inappropriate that I can’t. And this will be on a Sunday morning, so I’m not going to say it!”

Demi Lovato is determined to use her celebrity to help others in the same predicament since she too can relate. She reveals:

“It sounds ridiculous but, like, I kind of made a pact with God… And I don’t even think you’re supposed to do that, but I was, like, I promised, ‘If you make me a singer one day, I’m going to use my voice for so much more than singing, and I’m going to help people with it.”

Demi’s interview will air on CBS on September 11.
