Designer Nicholas K takes the audience on a magical carpet ride through the beats of Arabic sound and the many visuals of artisan woven fabrics. Inspired by the movie “THEEB” which showcases the life of Bedouin culture each model demonstrates an identity that combines layers, color tones, and metals like no other. The representation of nudes, army greens, and pops of metallic depict a story of canyons, plateaus, and valleys to create a true idea of the movie’s actual scenery.

With an array of female models that ranged in all ethnicities, the depiction of high ponytails worn with floppy hats/sun visors dressed in fabrications made of cotton and vegetable dyed leathers were displayed. In addition, with the help of Lisa Linhardt, the viewers witness the creative placement of handcrafted metal jewelry. Throughout the shows entirely, to add to the safarian message, the usage of these sculptural pieces can be seen randomly placed on wrist, ankles, and hands.
With fall just starting, and spring and summer in further weeks this show teaches the audience to embrace layers, mix tones, and most importantly the power of accessories. Check out pictures from the show below.
