#CelebrityCrush-Shameik Moore (@shameikmoore)

In one word, today’s #CelebrityCrush is DOPE! From his captivating smile, to his milk chocolate skin complexion, its not hard to see why we’re infatuated with the actor Shameik Moore.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Shameik’s start in the Entertainment industry was filled with him filling minor roles in major television shows and films such as ‘Tyler Perry’s House of Payne’, BET’s ‘Reed Between the Lines’ which starred Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm Jamal Warner and ‘Joyful Noise’ which starred Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton and Keke Palmer. However, the role many of us are familiar with is Shameik’s portrayal of Malcolm Adekanbi in the 2015 crime dramady (drama/comedy) film ‘Dope’ by Rick Famuyiwa (who wrote and directed cult classic Black films “The Wood” and “Brown Sugar”). Dope had a star-filled cast including Rick Fox, Zoe Kravitz, Kiersey Clemmons, Chanel Iman, ASAP Rocky, and Quincy Brown.

Shameik’s latest role was in the Netflix original series “The Get Down” where he starred alongside Jaden Smith, Justice Smith, Herizen F. Guardiola and Skylan Brooks. The Get Down is described as a musical drama television series set in the South Bronx in the late 1970s. The first six episodes of the series premiered on August 12, 2016.

Shameik plays the character of Shaolin Fantastic, a child of the streets, thrill-seeking, unpredictable, eccentric but above all, enigmatic.

With each role, Shameik Moore has proved that he is a multifaceted talent that one should not underestimate. In ‘Dope’ we saw him go from meek and geeky to gangsta and cunning. In ‘Dope’ he’s a more streetwise character who is unpredictable. I can’t wait to see what kind of roles Shameik Moore decides to tackle next. With all the Marvel films being made these days, having him play a superhero or villain might be a good look for him. And while we’re at it, Wilhemina Model Management, give that man a call!

What do you think loves?
