Apparently, Lil Wayne kept a diary that he wrote in daily during his time in jail, and will compile his journal entries to include in his new memoir. According to some of the excerpts from ‘Gone ‘Til November‘ that were reported by Page Six, Lil Wayne is quite detailed throughout the book, and shares a few unexpected stories with readers!
For starters, the rapper officiated a wedding between two male inmates during his time in prison. “Imagine seeing grown-ass men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations. AND one of them is Lil Wayne. Crazy,” Wayne says in his book. He also stated that they toasted with 13 bottles of Gatorade, which he described as “liquid gold” in jail.
Weezy also writes about some of his visitations which were nothing less than interesting, which we can imagine when you have high-profile artists like Diddy, Drake and Kanye West visiting you in prison. It was a visit from his girlfriend however, that Wayne had a story about. Before coming to visit, he asked her to wear a dress with no underwear on, so that he could “do a ‘Basic Instinct.’” His plans for them were crushed when security realized she wasn’t wearing undergarments and made her throw on a pair of boxers! “they have extensive-ass searches before you come in here, so they made her put on a pair of boxers because they knew she didn’t have on panties. Damn!”
The visitation stories didn’t stop there. Wayne also recalls a visit from friend and Young Money label mate Drake, and says he admitted to Wayne that he had slept with his girlfriend in the past. Damn, Drizzy! “Finding out that she f***** Drake was the absolute worst thing I could have found out. Drizzy came to see me, he was like, ‘Yeah, it’s true’. Damn! This is the type of s*** a man never wants to find out while he is locked up.”
Weezy also admits that his creativity was tested like never before while he was locked up. “I always thought I needed things like being high with my n - - gas, a Bugatti, a dope-ass crib or some big-booty bitches to be creative. But once it was taken away from me, my creativity was put to the ultimate test.”
‘Gone ‘Til November‘ is set to release on Oct. 11.
