“Dashing Through The Snow!” Kevin Hart (@KevinHart4Real) Slated to Star As Santa Claus in New Disney Movie!

Kevin Hart is literally one of the hardest working men in TV. From his comedy specials and tv shows to his movies and his rap cameos as Chocolate Droppa – Kevin Hart must truly be part Energizer Bunny because he simply does not stop.

Rumor has it, Hollywood’s highest paid comedian is slated to star in a brand new film role, one of which we’ve never seen him do before. Kevin Hart is said to portray Santa Claus in Disney’s upcoming film “Dashing Through the Snow.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

Will Packer, who worked with Hart on the Ride Along movies and was an executive producer on Roots, is producing with John Jacobs (Ted).

The story tells of a New York City detective who is a workaholic and has a strained relationship with his son. The only thing that may be able to repair the father-son relationship is the one true Santa Claus who has to make the man believe in Christmas magic.

Hart would play Santa.

The project is based on an original idea by Scott Rosenberg (Con Air), and Rob Burnett is writing the current draft. ‘Liar Liar’ and ‘Elf’ have been said to be the tonal analogues.

A search for a director is about to get underway. Kristin Burr is overseeing for Disney.

One of the town’s busiest comic actors, this year alone Kevin Harthas starred in ‘Ride Along 2’ alongside rapper turned actor Ice Cube and New Line’s hit ‘Central Intelligence’, starring opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the latter having grossed over $126 million domestically. He also has his comedy concert film Kevin Hart: What Now? currently in theaters.

Hart, who also voiced a character in ‘The Secret Life of Pets’, is shooting Jumanji, Sony’s remake of the 1995 family adventure movie that reunites him with his Central Intelligence co-star Dwayne Johnson.

With both Kevin Hart and Will Packer both being attached to the film, I will most definitely be tuned in to see it! Who’s rolling with me?
