#CelebrityCrush-Steven Yeun (@steveyeun)

Happy Monday lovelies! Per usual it’s time for our weekly male #CelebrityCrush and who better to give a major shout out to than Walking Dead star Steven Yeun!

Yeun’s interest in acting and improvasations came during his freshman year at Kalamazoo College, where he watched the college’s improv group. After successfully joining the troupe his sophmore year, Steven Yeun revealed to his parents that he planned to pursue an improv career instead of enrolling in law school or medical school. His parents, while unhappy with the decision, were supportive, according to Yeun, and gave him two years to pursue acting.

Yeun’s biggest role to date has been playing the character of Glenn Rhee on the hit AMC television drama series “The Walking Dead”. The series began in 2010 with Glenn as one of the original and main characters who, along with his friends, is forced to relentlessly fight evil just to survive in a violent, apocalyptic world infested with flesh-eating zombies and the few surviving humans, some of whom are even more diabolical and dangerous than the zombies themselves.

While Walking Dead is vastly cited as Steven Yeun’s breakout role, the actor is not stopping there. After being recently killed off the popular series, Yeun is in need of a new gig and if there’s any truth to the things we’ve heard as of lately, he may already have something lined up and waiting. Rumors have been spiraling out of Tinsel Town that there is a Nightwing movie coming our way. In the comics, the Nightwing, Dick Grayson, is originally Robin to Batman, but later goes out on his own and adopts the Nightwing persona. When Batman first meets the young Dick Grayson, Dick is an acrobat who watches his parents get killed (similar to Batman), and Batman eventually takes Dick Grayson in. Casting Steven Yeun would be HUGE for the franchise and I’ve got to say that I’m hear for it.

Also, fans all over have been both petitioning and vying for Steven Yeun to be cast as Li Shang in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Mulan! Once again, I’m definitely here for it. What about you guys?
