[RECAP] In Case You Missed It! 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards!

Award season is still in full effect. The latest gathering of celebrities on the red carpet occurred tonight at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

All the glamorous celebrities came from near and far to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The show was hosted by Adam DeVine and the announcer for the evening was “Insecure” star Issa Rae. The show also had a new format this year by including television shows amongst its honorees.

The show began with a “Beauty and the Beast” musical montage of sorts by host Adam DeVine. The first award of the night was given to Emma Watson for “Best Actor in a Movie”. During Emma’s acceptance speech, she pointed out that this award show was the first of its kind to have gender-less categories.

There were stellar performances from Noah Cyrus, Pitbull, and Big Sean. Also, a touching tribute that honored the “Fast and Furious” franchise. The franchise received the coveted “Generation Award”. The night was also filled with never-before-seen clips from upcoming movies.
