All matrimony is not happy, and that definitely seems to be the case when it comes to singer and “Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood” star, Ray J, and his wife Princess Love. The couple has been at war over rumors of infidelity and abandonment which often spilled over to social media.

Now, Princess Love, has opted to leave her marriage, filing for a divorce from Ray J after nearly four years of marriage.

The “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” star filed divorce docs Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court … and it’s not a total surprise, because they were already living separately after tons of relationship drama.

Ray J and Princess tied the knot way back in 2016 but last year the marriage nearly imploded and they got into a blowout fight in Las Vegas.

As we reported … Ray and Princess were living separately in February, and they had not reconciled after she claimed back in November that he “stranded” her and their daughter, Melody, in Sin City following a heated argument. At the time, Princess was only weeks away from giving birth to their second child.

Princess gave birth to a son, Epik, in January … but the bundle was not enough to save the marriage.

Ray tried to make amends on Valentine’s Day … going all out and filling their Bev Hills condo with thousands of roses for his wife and daughter, but it still was not enough to save the union.

Princess stopped wearing her wedding ring after the Vegas incident — Ray J briefly stopped wearing his — and she threatened divorce … but nothing came of it until this week when she finally pulled the trigger.

“Empire” star Jussie Smollett was brutally attacked by 2 men who beat him up, put his head in a noose and screamed, “This is MAGA country.”

Sources directly connected to Jussie tell TMZ, the actor arrived in Chicago from New York late Monday, and at around 2 AM he was hungry and went to a Subway. We’re told when he walked out, someone yelled, “Aren’t you that f***ot ‘Empire’ n*****?” 

The 2 men — both white and wearing ski masks — viciously attacked Jussie as he fought back, but they beat him badly and fractured a rib. They put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him and as they left they yelled, “This is MAGA country.” 

Jussie was taken to Northwestern Memorial where he was treated. He was discharged later Tuesday morning.

We live in a world where fear and hate somehow manage to permeate the lives of billions worldwide. Its latest victim, however, is a well known one, Empire star, Jussie Smollett. The world over knows him as “Jamal Lyon,” but in real life his an openly gay and affluent man, advocating for equality for all people no matter their sexual orientation and gender. Today, Jussie was attacked by an as of yet unnamed assailant, and it may have been homophobic and racially motivated!

Jussie Smollett has been hospitalized in Chicago after a possible homophobic and racially charged attack, ET can confirm.

According to the Chicago Police Department’s incident details, a 30-something man was walking when two unknown offenders approached him and gained his attention by yelling out racial and homophobic slurs towards him. Police say the offenders allegedly began to attack the victim with their hands about the face and poured an unknown chemical substance onto the victim.

At some point during the alleged incident, one of the offenders wrapped a rope around the victim’s neck. According to police, the offenders then fled the scene, and the victim was self-transported to Northwestern Hospital. He is in good condition, and Area Central Detectives are investigating.

Chicago Police Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi sent out a statement to ET on Tuesday reading: “Overnight, the Chicago Police Department received a report of a possible racially-charged assault and battery involving a cast member of the television show Empire. Given the severity of the allegations, we are taking this investigation very seriously and treating it as a possible hate crime. Detectives are currently working to gather video, identify potential witnesses and establish an investigative timeline. The victim is fully cooperating with investigators and we ask anyone with information about this incident to contact Area Central Detectives at 312-747-8382 or report it anonymously to www.cpdtip.com.”
