Frank Ocean where have you been? Apparently making new music! In case you missed it, the singer/rapper released a new song recently, Chanel, and it may be just what the fans wanted. Especially if you were not feeling his recent albums, Blonde and Endless. You can listen to the single below:
HOTT 923’s Fresh Face Radio never fails to deliver the fun and the laughs–they do not pull any punches either!
Airing Tuesdays from 8-10 PM EST; Radio hosts, SoDebnair, Lady Kooture the Voice of All Media Diva, and our very own Hey Mikey dish out tea (piping hot), a little shade, lots of pettiness, but most of all fun!
Last night Fresh Face Radio had on Chris Kelsey, Daphne Pittman-Hayes, and Tyler Does, three cast members of the new indie film, Dirty South House Arrest. Centered on a young man named, Drake (Curtis Wyatt III), who is stuck at home and tries to come up with a way to get his crush, Tamika (LaTavia Roberson) to come over by throwing a house party. His friends, Flipside (Tyler Does) and Travis (Navv Greene), join him in his mission to make it an unforgettable event! However, Drake soon learns his mother, Vanessa (Jessica Fontaine), had to use their mortgage money to pay for his lawyer. Now it is up to him to help his mother all while pulling off a life changing party!
The film definitely seems interesting and we cannot wait to see it for ourselves. If you are an eighties baby then you know house parties can be epic! It is definitely time we have a good house party-based movie. After all, the ones after Kid-N-Play were all a flop! (Sorry, NOT Sorry!) We definitely want to see if LaTavia can act too. This may be her first big screen role, as you recall besides music she has only really done R&B Divas Atlanta.
Dirty South Arrest will be screening this weekend and you can catch a review of it here on HeyMikeyATL. In the meanwhile, catch their interview with the cast, in its entirety, below! Happy listening! Tell us what you think of the show below in our comments section!
In case I’ve never told you guys before, I love me some Joanna Levesque. I bought her very first CD ” JOJO” and to this day, “Use My Shoulder”, “Breezy”, “Keep on Keeping On”, and “Fairy Tales” are on my music playlist.
Just yesterday, JoJo stepped up to the plate and released a song for all the haters and fake ones title “F.A.B.” which stands for ‘fake a** b**ches’. The vocalist enlisted the help of rapper Remy Ma who spit a fire verse letting everyone know she’s not to be played with.
With “F.A.B.” being such a direct record, one can almost immediately tell that JoJo is calling out any and everyone who did not stand with her when she needed them most. (Which I know we all can relate to.)
Her upcoming album “Mad Love” will be her first studio album since 2006. And as long awaited as this album is, I think it will be one of her most truthful projects to date. The title track ‘Mad Love’ is an intense ballad about the difficulty of letting go. You give me bad love/But I’ll take what I get, I’m starvin’ for it/Like I’ve never had love, she sings on the track which alludes to how raw the project is.
The single follows the Wiz Khalifa collaboration, “F**k Apologies” in which Wiz spits a very quotable verse.
Okay, no apologizing
Ain’t no way to take the things you did back or disguise it
Always wonder what I’m doing but that’s TMI
Don’t know what you got until it’s gone, now you realize it.
JoJo album “Mad Love” is set to be released on October 14th.

It looks like Future’s mouth might have have vomited a new celebrity beef for the popular rapper. No, we are not talking about any of his feud’s with ex-fiancee, Ciara, or her new husband, Russell Wilson. This time around Future’s comments have been awarded to Sean “Diddy” Combs! Apparently, the Atlanta rapper is not here for the Bad Boy mogul at all and thanks to Fameolous and Entertainment for Breakfast has the audio to prove it. It’s actually pretty funny! Listen below:
We really want to know who recorded this? We swear when you are famous everyone around you is a link to the media and paparazzi! Now, the audio does not really reveal that Future is one that is speaking, but we would recognize that raspy, unintelligible voice anywhere. We wonder what wrong between these two? We know Diddy has rubbed a number of artists the wrong way, and that Future can be excessively foolish and reckless with his words; but calling Diddy, the inventor of “Bitchassness,” an “Old Bitch” is true poetic justice!
What do you guys think? Is this the beginning of a new celebrity beef or should “Future” apologize? Sound off in the comments section below!
