Frank Ocean where have you been? Apparently making new music! In case you missed it, the singer/rapper released a new song recently, Chanel, and it may be just what the fans wanted. Especially if you were not feeling his recent albums, Blonde and Endless. You can listen to the single below:
Remy Ma is making it very clear she is NOT here for Nicki Minaj. As you recall the two female rappers are currently beefing with Remy recently releasing a diss track, shETHER, that not only came for Nicki’s skills, status as a rapper, but even went in on her brother who allegdly raped a teenage girl! Yes, it got that messy! Most people, including a few fans agree Remy pretty much destroyed Nicki, but what has shocked us all is that the raptress has released yet ANOTHER diss track before Nicki could even make a comeback!
Remy’s new diss track aptly entitled Another One, dropped today and it is a beast! Check it out below!
Yikes! Remy Ma is making it very clear she “will not lose,” nor is she someone to come for! This title and the cover art for it pretty much confirm how we all feel. Still, where is Nicki?! For her to be “The Queen of Rap” she has been eerily silent and in the world of rap battles and celebrity beefs that is just not cool. When you have people like her ex, Safaree Samuels saying she can’t come back we need her to prove them wrong and rise to the occasion.
"Probably the most disrespectful record I've ever heard…" Still, #Safaree (@iamsafaree) seems to be #TeamRemy! 😂😂😂 #TMZ #CelebrityNews #CelebrityGossip #SafareeSamuels #NickiMinaj #RemyMa #shETHER #disstrack #celebritybeef #TeamRemy #HeyMikeyATL #HeyMikey #AtlantaBlogger #celebritynewsblogger #MichaelJFanning #Mikey
What do you guys think of Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj’s beef, and more importantly Another One? Is it just as venomous as shEther? We definitely want to hear your thoughts! It has been awhile since we enjoyed a good rap battle, especially with two beloved female rappers. Happy listening!

The beef between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj reached a fever pitch today when the former released her diss track, shETHER. Most agree that Remy took Nicki to the ringer with her new track and we are now patiently awaiting the latter’s clapback. However, it seems that Nicki is off focus as she seems to have R&B singer, Trey Songz in her cross hairs for not clearing up a claim Remy made when she named dropped him in her song. Remy rapped:
“Only time you touched a trigger is when you f*cked Trey Songz,”
Trey took to Twitter today to comment on the song and being name dropped.
Good Morning lovelies and welcome back for yet another edition of #BaeDay! If you’re anything like me, you’re still probably hungover from the performances at last night’s Grammy’s performances which by the way, were AMAZING! From Adele’s humbleness, to Beyonce’s goddess like appearance and performance to Bruno Mars donning Prince-like attire and Chance the Rapper bringing down the house with Kirk Franklin and Tamela Mann – nothing but top notch entertainment. Today’s #CelebrityCrush blew us away with his performance but we’ve got to be honest, he stole our heart a long time ago.
Chance the Rapper, you are our crush for today.
Chance’s first endeavor into the music industry came in early 2011 during his senior year of High School when he was suspended from school for a total of ten days for possessing marijuana on campus. During that time, Chance recorded his first full-length project, a mixtape 10 Days. In December 2011, he released a song titled “Windows”, and publicly announced his 10 Day project. In February 2012, Bennett was highlighted as one of Complex Magazine’s “10 New Chicago Rappers to Watch Out For”.
Everything is hot in Miami. This sultry city has hot fashion, hot people, and even hot music. So of course Miami native Teenear fits right in. Teenear is Slip-N-Slide Record’s newest artist and she is already giving the people a run for their money. Recently, Teenear sat down with Kontrol to give us the exclusive on her newest single and her career.
Teenear has a unique pop sound and her lyrics are relatable to many young women across the globe. Recently, Teenear released her latest single “Last Night” and it’s sure to become the girl anthem of the year.
“The person I was working with, Ali, he’s the other writer of the song. I came into the studio hearing him sing “Last Night” over and over again, and I sat there and I thought of just things that I know people go through. And I feel like a lot of people can relate to being in on and off relationships for whatever reasons. I feel like this song is just for the girl who has gotten to the point where she realizes that she is over it. She doesn’t need him. She’s found her worth and she knows that she is bigger than that relationship. The ultimate independence song and her just saying that she can still do her by herself.”
Well, it looks like the 2017 Coachella fest will still be lit! Despite the announcement that Mrs. Carter is currently preggers with twins, her headlining Coachella performance is still set to go on. Last week Beyoncé announced via a series of Instagram pictures that she was currently expecting twins. The announcement of Mrs. Carter’s pregnancy was met with mixed emotions from her Beyhive fans. Some of her fans feared that Beyoncé’s upcoming Coachella performance would be canceled due to the pregnancy, but instead Beyonce is enlisting some help from Roc Nation.
Have no fear Beyhive, Beyoncé’s Coachella performance is still set to go on. In fact, she has enlisted some special guests from Roc Nation to join her on stage during the performance. According to reports, the artists that will be joining Beyoncé are still a mystery and will not be revealed until the performance in April. There will definitely be two guest appearances one of which is a Roc Nation artist and the other one is from a different label, but the artist is reportedly still close to Beyoncé’s camp.
eONE RECORDING ARTIST SINGER/ACTRESS DEMETRIA MCKINNEY PREMIERES IN SEXY NEW VIDEO “EASY
“EASY” IS AVAILABLE NOW ON iTUNES
Demetria McKinney drops sexy video for her new single, “Easy”. The video was directed by RTD Entertainment.
“I wanted a video that gave off a cool, sexy, artsy vibe that showcased me as an artist,” says Demetria about the video’s concept.
The sultry track is available now on iTunes. “Easy”, which was co-written by Demetria McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton, is the first single from her forthcoming album, Officially Yours, set to drop this Spring.
About Demetria McKinney
Vocal powerhouse Demetria McKinney is a triple threat in the truest sense of the term. She is an award-winning actress who has played diverse roles on the big and small screens as well as the stage. She is a talented singer with a rich voice requiring zero studio enhancements. And she is a skillful songwriter who generously expresses emotions in a way that instantly connects with listeners.
Widely known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” which has taped over 254 episodes and received five NAACP Image Awards for Best Sitcom and now in syndication on BET. Demetria will also be reviving her role as Janine in the new Tyler Perry show “The Paynes” debuting on OWN in 2018.
Demetria can currently be seen on Bounce TV’s breakout hit “Saints & Sinners”, BET’s “The Quad”, Centric TV’s “The Ladies Room” and the stage play “Love Jones The Musical”. Demetria also has recurring roles on Life Time’s “Devious Maids” and on TV One as a primary character on “The Rickey Smiley Show.”
Demetria was also a cast member on Bravo TV’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season” 7 and had cameo appearances on Season 8.
Even though her acting career keeps her very busy, Demetria always makes time for her first love: music. This eOne Music recording artist over the past few years has recorded and performed with artists such as Lyfe Jennings, Musiq Soulchild and Anthony David. Demetria has also opened for R&B mainstays such as Tyrese and Tank and has toured with the Pepsi Funkfest and R. Kelly.
Her latest single “Easy” is a song about a woman living and loving a man in a relationship that is growing. Demetria’s forthcoming LP Officially Yours, is scheduled for release early this year. The soulful ballad was written by McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton, and was also produced by We Are Starbound Music.
All the songs on Officially Yours emanate from a place within Demetria that up until now she has only expressed through the characters that she’s played. The spectrum of a woman’s life lived out loud – with love, resilience and courage – is represented on Officially Yours.
“As a recording artist, this is where the most truthful, transparent side of me will be seen and heard,” Demetria says. “People mostly know me for the roles I have played, and they are all roles that I chose specifically for the lessons that I would learn from each character. Personally, I never wanted to show vulnerability because I thought it was a sign of weakness. I didn’t want to talk about situations I’ve endured and I would shut off opportunities that would make me connect with any past pain. I always hid behind my characters, and allowed them to overshadow Demetria. But the reason I call this LP Officially Yours is because the music represents the ‘official’ Demetria McKinney.”
McKinney first worked with Tyler Perry on his stage play, “Meet the Browns” and she went on to star in several other of his plays including “What’s Done In The Dark;” “Why Did I Get Married,” and “Madea’s Family Christmas.” Her additional stage work includes leading roles in the plays “The Mountaintop;” “Church Girl;” the musical “I Dream,” in which she portrayed Mrs. Coretta Scott King, and “Dreamgirls” where she performed alongside the legendary Jenifer Holliday. Her numerous film and television credits include the films “Daddy’s Little Girls;” “Breaking Up is Hard to Do;” “Necessary Roughness;” “Let’s Stay Together;” Drop Dead Diva’s and many more.
Demetria released two films last year “Let The Church Say Amen” on BET, directed by Regina King, starring Demetria, Naturi Naughton, Lela Rochon & Hosea Chanchez; and “Sons To The Grave” Directed by Mykelti Williamson, starring Demetria, Trevor Jackson & Darrin Henson. Demetria is also the brand ambassador for LOREAL’s Dark & Lovely Au Naturale brand.
Keep Up with Demetria McKinney!
