Frank Ocean where have you been? Apparently making new music! In case you missed it, the singer/rapper released a new song recently, Chanel, and it may be just what the fans wanted. Especially if you were not feeling his recent albums, Blonde and Endless. You can listen to the single below:
Remy Ma is making it very clear she is NOT here for Nicki Minaj. As you recall the two female rappers are currently beefing with Remy recently releasing a diss track, shETHER, that not only came for Nicki’s skills, status as a rapper, but even went in on her brother who allegdly raped a teenage girl! Yes, it got that messy! Most people, including a few fans agree Remy pretty much destroyed Nicki, but what has shocked us all is that the raptress has released yet ANOTHER diss track before Nicki could even make a comeback!
Remy’s new diss track aptly entitled Another One, dropped today and it is a beast! Check it out below!
Yikes! Remy Ma is making it very clear she “will not lose,” nor is she someone to come for! This title and the cover art for it pretty much confirm how we all feel. Still, where is Nicki?! For her to be “The Queen of Rap” she has been eerily silent and in the world of rap battles and celebrity beefs that is just not cool. When you have people like her ex, Safaree Samuels saying she can’t come back we need her to prove them wrong and rise to the occasion.
"Probably the most disrespectful record I've ever heard…" Still, #Safaree (@iamsafaree) seems to be #TeamRemy! 😂😂😂 #TMZ #CelebrityNews #CelebrityGossip #SafareeSamuels #NickiMinaj #RemyMa #shETHER #disstrack #celebritybeef #TeamRemy #HeyMikeyATL #HeyMikey #AtlantaBlogger #celebritynewsblogger #MichaelJFanning #Mikey
What do you guys think of Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj’s beef, and more importantly Another One? Is it just as venomous as shEther? We definitely want to hear your thoughts! It has been awhile since we enjoyed a good rap battle, especially with two beloved female rappers. Happy listening!

The beef between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj reached a fever pitch today when the former released her diss track, shETHER. Most agree that Remy took Nicki to the ringer with her new track and we are now patiently awaiting the latter’s clapback. However, it seems that Nicki is off focus as she seems to have R&B singer, Trey Songz in her cross hairs for not clearing up a claim Remy made when she named dropped him in her song. Remy rapped:
“Only time you touched a trigger is when you f*cked Trey Songz,”
Trey took to Twitter today to comment on the song and being name dropped.
eONE RECORDING ARTIST SINGER/ACTRESS DEMETRIA MCKINNEY PREMIERES IN SEXY NEW VIDEO “EASY
“EASY” IS AVAILABLE NOW ON iTUNES
Demetria McKinney drops sexy video for her new single, “Easy”. The video was directed by RTD Entertainment.
“I wanted a video that gave off a cool, sexy, artsy vibe that showcased me as an artist,” says Demetria about the video’s concept.
The sultry track is available now on iTunes. “Easy”, which was co-written by Demetria McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton, is the first single from her forthcoming album, Officially Yours, set to drop this Spring.
About Demetria McKinney
Vocal powerhouse Demetria McKinney is a triple threat in the truest sense of the term. She is an award-winning actress who has played diverse roles on the big and small screens as well as the stage. She is a talented singer with a rich voice requiring zero studio enhancements. And she is a skillful songwriter who generously expresses emotions in a way that instantly connects with listeners.
Widely known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” which has taped over 254 episodes and received five NAACP Image Awards for Best Sitcom and now in syndication on BET. Demetria will also be reviving her role as Janine in the new Tyler Perry show “The Paynes” debuting on OWN in 2018.
Demetria can currently be seen on Bounce TV’s breakout hit “Saints & Sinners”, BET’s “The Quad”, Centric TV’s “The Ladies Room” and the stage play “Love Jones The Musical”. Demetria also has recurring roles on Life Time’s “Devious Maids” and on TV One as a primary character on “The Rickey Smiley Show.”
Demetria was also a cast member on Bravo TV’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season” 7 and had cameo appearances on Season 8.
Even though her acting career keeps her very busy, Demetria always makes time for her first love: music. This eOne Music recording artist over the past few years has recorded and performed with artists such as Lyfe Jennings, Musiq Soulchild and Anthony David. Demetria has also opened for R&B mainstays such as Tyrese and Tank and has toured with the Pepsi Funkfest and R. Kelly.
Her latest single “Easy” is a song about a woman living and loving a man in a relationship that is growing. Demetria’s forthcoming LP Officially Yours, is scheduled for release early this year. The soulful ballad was written by McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton, and was also produced by We Are Starbound Music.
All the songs on Officially Yours emanate from a place within Demetria that up until now she has only expressed through the characters that she’s played. The spectrum of a woman’s life lived out loud – with love, resilience and courage – is represented on Officially Yours.
“As a recording artist, this is where the most truthful, transparent side of me will be seen and heard,” Demetria says. “People mostly know me for the roles I have played, and they are all roles that I chose specifically for the lessons that I would learn from each character. Personally, I never wanted to show vulnerability because I thought it was a sign of weakness. I didn’t want to talk about situations I’ve endured and I would shut off opportunities that would make me connect with any past pain. I always hid behind my characters, and allowed them to overshadow Demetria. But the reason I call this LP Officially Yours is because the music represents the ‘official’ Demetria McKinney.”
McKinney first worked with Tyler Perry on his stage play, “Meet the Browns” and she went on to star in several other of his plays including “What’s Done In The Dark;” “Why Did I Get Married,” and “Madea’s Family Christmas.” Her additional stage work includes leading roles in the plays “The Mountaintop;” “Church Girl;” the musical “I Dream,” in which she portrayed Mrs. Coretta Scott King, and “Dreamgirls” where she performed alongside the legendary Jenifer Holliday. Her numerous film and television credits include the films “Daddy’s Little Girls;” “Breaking Up is Hard to Do;” “Necessary Roughness;” “Let’s Stay Together;” Drop Dead Diva’s and many more.
Demetria released two films last year “Let The Church Say Amen” on BET, directed by Regina King, starring Demetria, Naturi Naughton, Lela Rochon & Hosea Chanchez; and “Sons To The Grave” Directed by Mykelti Williamson, starring Demetria, Trevor Jackson & Darrin Henson. Demetria is also the brand ambassador for LOREAL’s Dark & Lovely Au Naturale brand.
Keep Up with Demetria McKinney!
Rahim Brazil is the man, and if you don’t know it you better ask somebody! This singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, dancer, radio host, model, and all around awesome guy is the epitome of what it means to grind so hard for your dreams that people cannot help but notice you. Naturally, when we found out he was dropping a new single we had to share it with all of you. After all quality music is so hard to come by nowadays. Listen to his single, Ready For War (Slay), below!
We love this song! It is a war cry all it’s own. Hopefully a music video will accompany it where we see Mr. Brazil geared up in all black and dancing, “fighting the power” (LOL)
Rahim clearly came to take his haters down! In recent months the About Him star has subtly discussed a number of people trying to discredit him, not being supportive, or trying to use him. Although we can look at him and surmise their tempation, this is never cool! Interestingly last week Signal 23 TV released a teaser trailer for their second season of About Him, About Him Revolution. It too had a war theme, which you can view here. Rahim has not made a direct reference towards his former network or compatriots, but did tell us to “Tell’em thanks for the inspiration!!!”
As you can see it really is “About Him.” What do you guys think of Rahim (the dreamy) Brazil’s new single? Sound off in our comments section below.

Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation is home to many artists such as Rihanna, Big Sean, J.Cole, Grimes, and himself. The latest artist to join the Roc Nation family is Young Paris. Paris is also known as Milandou Badila. He is a Congolese-French born artist who also has roots in New York. This artist sound has been described as a mixture of hip-hop, electronic dance, trap, and African drumbeats.
“My sound comes from my cultural background I am Congolese, I grew up in Paris by way of Congo and my father co-founded national ballet in Congo so I grew up with a strong traditional influence. Just growing up in the neighborhood and living in New York, hip-hop culture was my dynamic and I just also love going to parties and listening to EDM. So I just thought I could mix these different vibrations into what I thought I could display my sound to be and that’s pretty much what you hear.”
Paris is not just an artist. He also has a good sense of fashion. He tends to mix streetwear with tribal prints and face paint that has become his signature style. Paris also is the owner and founder of Melanin which is a website and social media initiative that embraces black culture.
The Congolese artist recently dropped a visual for his single “One Time”. In the visual, Paris teamed up with Nigerian artist Reekado Banks. Reekado is signed with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records. The single “One Time” is also featured on Young Paris EP called, “African Vogue”. Paris’ EP is set to be released and in stores on December 9th.

Alessia Cara is truly a rising star, and one of music’s most talented singers. Her song, Here, went viral and clearly struck a chord with audiences everywhere.
Thankfully, Disney has taken notice of her talents and has her on the Moana soundtrack’s lead single, How Far I’ll Go! The song is directly from the movie, in a moving scene where the titular character realizes her destiny lies in the ocean.
Check out the video for How Far I’ll Go below!
This song is so empowering! It encourages you to be strong and adventurous. A lot of times we are brought up in a bubble and bound to the expectations of others. Moana courageously sails across the ocean to not only save her island and family, but the world as she knows it. You always have to leave your comfort zone to bring about real change. Just think about it, no good has ever been accomplished without a little adversity.
Alessia Cara dares to be different with her messages of inclusion, self-love, and independence. She may very well be a Moana in her own right. You all just be sure check out Disney’s Moana at a theater near you and the trailer below!
