We are officially eight days away from the series premiere of That’s So Raven’s  reboot/spin-off series, Raven’s Home! We are super excited just like the rest of you and cannot wait to see what Raven, Chelsea, their kids, and the rest of the gang (minus Orlando Brown) are up to!

Disney Channel definitely knows how to tease us, but at least they are keeping us entertained by releasing the theme song for Raven’s Home! Check it out below!

WE LOVE IT! This theme song is filled with all types of nostalgia. First, Raven still has her vocals and is as funny as ever, Chelsea is as goofy as ever even in motherhood, and the show  finishes with “That’s Us,” similar to Raven’s “That’s Me” at the end of the theme song of the original series. Our little Raven is all grown up and is back with a family! We have all types of emotions right now.

We do hate she is divorced from Devon and are wondering did she foresee any of that with her clairvoyant powers? No shade intended. You all just be sure to tune in on Friday, July 21st for all the laughs and fun. We will definitely tuning in! Happy viewing!

#CelebrityCrush- Tia Mowry-Hardrict (@TiaMowry)

tia mowry-hardrict

There are only a handful of celebrities we can honestly say we watched grow up on television, and even less than that when it comes to how many of them have transitioned to become successful adult stars.

Well whether this vixen is working some twin magic with her sister, Tamera Mowry-Housely, delivering drama as Melanie Barnett-Davis, or cooking up some amazing treats on her cooking show, Tia Mowry-Hardrict is the girl of our dreams!

This woman is prettier than a magnolia in full bloom in May and hotter than Atlanta pavement on a summer day! That’s why she is this week’s Celebrity Crush!

Tamera Mowry, Tim Reid, Jackee Harry and Tia Mowry star in Sister, Sister.

Tia won our hearts back in the nineties when she was “Tia Landry” on Sister, Sister. The girl started off cute as a button then when puberty hit–and she started dating RonReaco Lee on the show–she became a full fledged woman. We are talking curves, eyes, smile, hips, and a walk that would make Los Angeles traffic halt in wonder (Have you seen her on the opening of The Game). When she later starred as Melanie Barnett-Davis on The Game, we were impressed with how seamlessly she transitioned from cute girl next door, to an amazingly capable and powerful actress who could carry a show. We definitely hated to see her leave the series, (Maybe she had the same issues with BET that Pooch Hall did) but that has not stopped her getting her own reality show and later cooking show. Tia is now the wife of actor Corey Hardrict, a mother, and still acting–and did we mention there is a Sister, Sister reboot in the works? Can you say “twinning?”

We do not know what is in store for Tia Mowry-Hardrict, but you can bet we will be front row and center to whatever amazing role, show, or venture she has going on. Tia, we love you baby!

via Variety:

Symoné and Anneliese van der Pol are now mothers as they reprise their role as best friends Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels. The dynamic duo is up to their same crazy antics, but this time, they are living under the same roof raising families of their own.

Raven’s 11-year-old twins Booker (Issac Brown) and Nia (Navia Robinson) join the cast along with Chelsea’s 9-year-old son Levi (Jason Maybaum), and Nia’s best friend Tess (Sky Katz).

While Booker is still coming to terms with is psychic tendencies, his mom, a vision veteran, remains unfazed with her son’s ability. As he comes to tell her about a vision he had, she quips back, “It’s not always about you, Booker.”

In Case You Missed It! ‘Sister, Sister’ Reboot Coming To A Screen Near You!

sister sister reboot

I have said it before and I will say it again…2017 is turning out to be the year of the “remake” and the “reboot”. Summertime has barely rolled in and there have already been several announcements of our beloved television shows and classic movies getting makeovers.

The recent show to join the “reboot” era is “Sister, Sister” which starred celebrity twins Tia and Tamera Mowry.

Recently, Tia Mowry sat down with Nylon and confirmed that the beloved 90s sitcom will be back in our living rooms.

“We’re looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show,” she says. “I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be. Everything in my career has always been a challenge.”

The Reboot Era

Mowry lists Roseanne, Twin Peaks, and Will and Grace, as just a handful of the shows getting the revival treatment. The demand is there, so is the interest amongst the cast; they’re just looking for the proper support. “It’s not dead in any kind of way,” she says. “We’re moving forward, we’re taking those strides. They’re slow strides, but we’re pushing as hard as we can to make people happy and make our fans happy.”

When that happens, we hope that some of the celebrity guests from the ’90s make it a point to stop by again. Mowry says some of her favorite memories from the show were her times on set with late actress Brittany Murphy, Kobe Bryant before he was Kobe Bryant, Gabrielle Union, Christina Milian, and Taraji P. Henson.”

So, what are your thoughts? Are you feeling all these remakes and reboots? Will you be watching the new “Sister, Sister”? What remake or reboot are you most excited to see? Let me know in the comments.

The Return of “Silverstone?” Rumored Disney Channel (@DisneyChannel) Reboot in The Works?

Disney Channel seems to finally realize what other networks have–reboots are in! Although this realization seems to have come too late to save Girls Meet World, it has not stopped That’s So Raven from getting a reboot with Raven’s House.

Interestingly a new rumored reboot seems to be in the works as the rumor mill is churning, alleging a reboot of The Famous Jett Jackson called Silverstone is in the works!

Lee Thompson Young

As many of you may recall, The Famous Jett Jackson, starred the late actor Lee Thompson Young, as “Jett Jackson,” a teen actor who struggled to balance his role as a famous TV character/action hero, “Silverstone,” and his own personal life. The series ran for three seasons and was met with rave reviews, before ending with a Disney Channel Original Movie. The reboot allegedly will not focus on Jett’s personal life with his friends and family, but solely focus on Silverstone’s exploits as he saves the world from all types of super spies, villains, and terrorists. There have been no rumors on who will be cast as Silverstone, or if Hawk or Artemus’s characters will appear this time around.

“Devon Carter” is Back! Johnathan McDaniel (@liljsback) Reprises His Role on Disney’s “Raven’s Home!”

Raven’s Home, the highly anticipated sequel series to Disney’s That’s So Raven is nearly here! July 21st marks the series premiere and we could not be happier–well until now! News has rolled in that another cast member from the original series–NOT Orlando Brown–is reprising their role in their new series.

Yep, the original series’ resident hottie,  Jonathan McDaniel, is returning as “Devon Carter” in Raven’s Home!

Jonathan McDaniel as “Devon Carter” in Disney’s “Raven’s Home”

Jonathan McDaniel will be reprising the role of Devon Carter, Raven’s boyfriend in ‘That’s So Raven’ seasons two-four. As the new story goes, Raven and Devon got married and had two kids together…and now they’re divorced.

In the new series, viewers will see Raven and her BFF Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol) as divorced single mothers, raising their children together in the same chaotic household. And it looks like Raven’s ability to see the future is genetic, as one of her 11-year-old twins Booker (Issac Ryan Brown) has the same ability.

Raven’s other twin, Nia, will be played by Navia Robinson, while Jason Maybaum will take on the role of Chelsea’s son Levi, and Sky Katz will be playing Tess, Booker and Nia’s best friend and neighbor.

E! News was on set for Jonathan McDaniel’s Raven’s Home debut, so tune in tonight at 7 and 11 p.m. for an exclusive interview with Raven and Jonathan, as well as an exclusive first look at the Disney Channel series’ set.

That’s So Raven fans will remember Devon as Raven’s longtime crush-turned-BF, who she remained in a relationship with after he moved to Seattle. He often returned and paid Raven a visit when his father would come to San Francisco for business trips.

“There is only one Raven—and for over 25 years, she has blessed audiences around the world with the greatest gift of all—the pure, unadulterated joy of laugh-out-loud funny. After being a part of over 20 different Disney projects, we are thrilled to be bringing Raven home to Disney Channel once again,” Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement when the sequel series was announced.

We cannot wait for Raven’s Home  to debut. We just wonder what split Raven and Devon up? The series definitely has to explore that. Either way we are just ready to see the old (minus Orlando) and new cast all together!

2017 is definitely shaping up to be the year of television series’ reboots.

It looks like The CW has followed suit and has finally released a trailer for its Dynasty reboot!

As you may recall Dynasty was a hit series back in the early eighties, starring amazing actors like Diane Carroll, Joan Collins, and Linda Evans. The series ended in 1989 after nearly 220 episodes. Now, the series has been rebooted with a new cast consisting of  Grant Show as Blake CarringtonNathalie Kelley as Cristal FloresElizabeth Gillies as Fallon CarringtonJames Mackay as Steven CarringtonAlan Dale as Joseph AndersSam Adegoke as Jeff Colby,  Robert Christopher Riley as Michael Culhane and  Rafael de La Fuente as Sam Flores

If the cast does not pique your interest then this synopsis will:

via The Hollywood Reporter

the cw navy logo

“The Rolls Royce of all primetime soaps, returns in a modernized reboot that follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children. The series will be told primarily through the perspectives of two women at odds: Fallon Carrington — daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington — and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal — a Hispanic woman marrying into this WASP family and America’s most powerful class. In an age where dynasties appear everywhere — from reality TV to the polling booths — this epic drama features the one percent in all its glitz and gloss, while exposing the dark underbelly: a corrupt world built on backroom deals, betrayal, and, in some cases, murder.”

We are super happy to see that Dynasty has  made its way back to  television. We really hope it is a hit and our friend to the site, Rob Riley is in it! Let’s all make sure we tune in as we definitely don’t want it to go the way of the Dallas reboot! Check out the trailer below!
