Cory Hardrict (@coryhardrict)– Destined for Greatness!

Cory Hardrict silently dominated the 2016 independent film festival circuit with his film, “Destined”.

In addition to playing dual roles in the film, Hardrict also served as executive producer. Initially, Hardrict was producing the film and not starring in it, but the director felt like he was the perfect fit for the leading man. Destined follows two separate paths a young man takes after he comes to the fork in the road of life. The film is about choices and how consequences to actions can result in a lifetime of differences. “One character is an architect—sometimes in that world you have other people that make decisions for you. He is dealing with gentrification which results in  him making a decision for an entire
community. The parallel character is a drug Lord desperately trying to save his son. It’s a real life thing two paths and parallels,” Hardrict explains. “Destined” quickly became the project to beat, garnering eight awards at twelve festivals throughout 2016. “I knew from what we shot the work was great. After you shoot it and put it together, the rest is in God’s hands. The success has been a blessing, but the mission is to get it to the world,” Hardrict shares.

Hardrict enjoyed a number of films released last year, including most recently “Spectral” an action thriller purchased by Netflix, but much like the message in his film “Destined”, Hardrict is both strategic and selective with his career. His brooding yet unforgettable presence along with his selective-ness when choosing roles are just a few of the reasons Hardrict has been compared to the legendary Denzel Washington. When asked about the constant comparison, Hardrict is humbled. “Denzel is a living legend, so I just shake my head. He is like a God, he is the best actor on the planet. I got a lot of work to do before I could come anywhere close to that. He has a lot of strength and power. He’s been consistent. Antoine Fuqua was the first person to say I reminded him of a young Denzel. It made me want to step my game up, those are heavy words.” Besides his on camera likeness to Denzel, Hardrict is also an outspoken family man, attributing his success to the title of fatherhood he enjoys with wife Tia Mowry. “Becoming a husband and father made my heart open up more because I love my wife and son to death. It’s been fun, nothing but joy. It’s made me a better man and better actor.”

#CelebrityCrush- Tia Mowry-Hardrict (@TiaMowry)

tia mowry-hardrict

There are only a handful of celebrities we can honestly say we watched grow up on television, and even less than that when it comes to how many of them have transitioned to become successful adult stars.

Well whether this vixen is working some twin magic with her sister, Tamera Mowry-Housely, delivering drama as Melanie Barnett-Davis, or cooking up some amazing treats on her cooking show, Tia Mowry-Hardrict is the girl of our dreams!

This woman is prettier than a magnolia in full bloom in May and hotter than Atlanta pavement on a summer day! That’s why she is this week’s Celebrity Crush!

Tamera Mowry, Tim Reid, Jackee Harry and Tia Mowry star in Sister, Sister.

Tia won our hearts back in the nineties when she was “Tia Landry” on Sister, Sister. The girl started off cute as a button then when puberty hit–and she started dating RonReaco Lee on the show–she became a full fledged woman. We are talking curves, eyes, smile, hips, and a walk that would make Los Angeles traffic halt in wonder (Have you seen her on the opening of The Game). When she later starred as Melanie Barnett-Davis on The Game, we were impressed with how seamlessly she transitioned from cute girl next door, to an amazingly capable and powerful actress who could carry a show. We definitely hated to see her leave the series, (Maybe she had the same issues with BET that Pooch Hall did) but that has not stopped her getting her own reality show and later cooking show. Tia is now the wife of actor Corey Hardrict, a mother, and still acting–and did we mention there is a Sister, Sister reboot in the works? Can you say “twinning?”

We do not know what is in store for Tia Mowry-Hardrict, but you can bet we will be front row and center to whatever amazing role, show, or venture she has going on. Tia, we love you baby!

In Case You Missed It! ‘Sister, Sister’ Reboot Coming To A Screen Near You!

sister sister reboot

I have said it before and I will say it again…2017 is turning out to be the year of the “remake” and the “reboot”. Summertime has barely rolled in and there have already been several announcements of our beloved television shows and classic movies getting makeovers.

The recent show to join the “reboot” era is “Sister, Sister” which starred celebrity twins Tia and Tamera Mowry.

Recently, Tia Mowry sat down with Nylon and confirmed that the beloved 90s sitcom will be back in our living rooms.

“We’re looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show,” she says. “I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be. Everything in my career has always been a challenge.”

The Reboot Era

Mowry lists Roseanne, Twin Peaks, and Will and Grace, as just a handful of the shows getting the revival treatment. The demand is there, so is the interest amongst the cast; they’re just looking for the proper support. “It’s not dead in any kind of way,” she says. “We’re moving forward, we’re taking those strides. They’re slow strides, but we’re pushing as hard as we can to make people happy and make our fans happy.”

When that happens, we hope that some of the celebrity guests from the ’90s make it a point to stop by again. Mowry says some of her favorite memories from the show were her times on set with late actress Brittany Murphy, Kobe Bryant before he was Kobe Bryant, Gabrielle Union, Christina Milian, and Taraji P. Henson.”

So, what are your thoughts? Are you feeling all these remakes and reboots? Will you be watching the new “Sister, Sister”? What remake or reboot are you most excited to see? Let me know in the comments.

Tia Mowry-Hardrict (@TiaMowry) Joins Cast of “Rosewood!” (@RosewoodFOX)

Tia Mowry‘s Nickelodeon sitcom “Instant Mom” may have been recently cancelled but the actress already has another gig lined up.

The 37-year-old actress has landed a recurring role on FOX’s drama series Rosewood which already stars the ever-so-handsome Morris Chestnut playing the titular role.

According to media outlet Deadline, Tia Mowry will be digging deep for her new role as Cassie, a former homeless teenage lesbian turned restaurateur . Cassie is also Pippy’s (played by Gabrielle Dennis) childhood friend.

Tia joins actor Taye Diggs, who also recently landed a major recurring role on the crime procedural drama. It has yet to be revealed when Tia will make her first appearance on the show but if you’ve been watching all season, you know it can only get better. I have yet to be disappointed with this show.

Who else will be tuning in for Tia’s debut?

Congrats! Tamera Mowry-Housely (@TameraMowryTwo) Welcomes Baby Girl to the World!

Hip, Hip, Hooray! Hip, Hip, Hooray! Let’s hear it for Tamera Mowry-Housely and her husband, Adam as they welcome their second child–a baby girl!

We are so blessed and excited right now,” he wrote. “Ariah Talea Housley was born at 2:54. … We are so excited to have Ariah here. Such a strong girl…

It seems like just yesterday Tamera was announcing her pregnancy on via Instagram, The Real, and now her daughter is here! Tamera cutely held up a Clear Blue pregnancy test and the news went viral. Naturally, hilariously, and unsurprisingly, many thought it was her equally famous twin sister, Tia Mowry-Hardrict who was announcing a second pregnancy! Although Tia does not expect to be a mother again for some time soon she does wish her sister and brother-in-law the best, while welcoming Aria into the world.

I am officially auntie to a niece!!” she tweeted on Wednesday evening. “So excited!! Congrats to the Housleys!!!

Welcoming a new baby into the world is always a wonderful thing. Tamera is such an amazing person and now once again she is a mother. Let’s just hope her maternity flies by because we definitely miss her on The Real. We have got to have some sanity to contrast Tamar’s tomfoolery somehow, right? Congrats again Tamera and Adam!

Tia Mowry-Hardrict (@TiaMowry) Tells It All! Beef w/ Keke Palmer (@KekePalmer) & “Sister, Sister” Reboot!

One thing Tia Mowry-Hardrict has been happy with is her marriage! She and her husband, Cory Hardrict, have been married for years now and have a son, Cree. So when haters have something to say about the “close relationship” her husband and Keke Palmer have she has nothing but a quick dismissal for them. Rumors have been swirling that Keke and Cory have something going on after she stated she has a crush on the actor. Some sites report that Tia feels her crush, even if playful, is “not cute.” Well Tia is setting the record straight that there is no beef between she and Keke and that the picture circulating of her allegedly confronting Palmer was taken out of context.  “All of that is so not true. The whole situation was taken out of context. What’s really disappointing is there was a picture of I guess Keke and I put on some other website…I’m not going to give them any credit…but it was me grabbing her hand. But what’s so disgusting is that we were both uplifting each other at that time.” However, her Sister, Sister news is really what has our attention!
